Fantastic news. Did I ever tell you the Ellen Malcolm is an old friend of mine? Our fathers were best friends in college, she went to Nantucket and we went to college together. I am SO proud of her and EMILY's LIST.

Disgusting. This is why I don't live any further east, west or south than I do. There are lots of idiots in this country, that's for sure.

This is a terrible loss to our community. Stephanie was approachable, open, and committed to the major issues of poverty and the disenfranchised in Cleveland. She would have been a huge asset to Obama in being sure that her people were registering to vote and then got out to vote. John and I went to her Labor Day Picnic when Kerry was running and the turn-out was incredible. But I expect that it would have been much moreso this year with a Black candidate. Her leadership is going to be missed. This is the second death in a short time that has had an impact on the Black community. Fanny Lewis from Ward 7 died a month or so ago. She starred in the documentary NO UMBRELLA, a story of her district during the '04 election. The machines were not working; she called at 9:30am and they did not arrive until 3:30pm. There are no words...Weezie
