I hope he’s right

February 8th, 2008

Even if the super delegates change their mind and vote for the popular vote winner, the delegate system is a screwy as the electoral college system and should be changed.

Simply put, Democratic super delegates often change their minds, and have always lined up behind the popular vote winner in the primaries.

On every single occasion, large numbers of super delegates switched their early, public support for a candidate in favor of the candidate who had the most popular support from voters in Democratic primaries and participants in Democratic caucuses.

If that is true why have super delegate votes in the first place?

Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Ted Strickland have already committed their super delegate votes to Hillary. Changing their minds at the last minute simply exposes their opportunism.
